Looking Forward and Looking Back

Dear Members, Leaders, Friends

On the last day of 2018 I wanted to write you a personal note, just to say thank you.

At this time of year I always spend time thinking about the year that has gone by, defining the lessons and the gifts, and look at the year ahead, making goals and plans.

2018 was a unique year in my life and also in LEO’s history.  It has been very challenging on many levels.  Legal battles, dishonesty, deceit, malice, greed, all of these have part of this year. I have learned that when you are tested by these negative, sometimes seemingly evil, forces, the most important thing is to stand up for what you believe – stand strong and face the storm, never hide.  And the universe will support you.  The greatest challenges then become your greatest blessings.  And, as a friend of mine said, when you are tested, it is always just before you are lifted to the next higher class.

Because the tests of 2018 have also given us many blessings.  People have proven their loyalty and commitment.  The teams are working stronger and better than ever.  New initiatives and programmes have been delivered.  LEO has given back to the community.  We have been honoured in high places.  When 2018 took out many players in different industries, from Direct Selling to Digital Currencies, we are still here and still fighting.  And we have taught people by our example, that fighting through tough times, facing setbacks, this is what ‘Real’ looks like.

Reviewing 2018 it is extraordinary what we have done and where we have been, from Digital Currency events in the UK Houses of Parliament, to taking over an entire resort in Mauritius, to providing 100% of the funding for the school in Hile Nepal, to receiving the Brand of the Year Award in Pakistan from the FPCC, to supporting our Leaders expanding into so many new markets.

Looking forward into 2019, the battles will continue and we are ready to face them.  We stand strong and resolute with a total commitment to delivering the hopes and expectations of our Members. We are working tirelessly to deliver new products and programmes.  And we are also keenly aware of and working on old projects that have been stalled for reasons beyond our control.  The upgrade of LEOcoin is just around the corner.  We have a new, potentially world changing, social entrepreneurship programme coming.  We also have a new Big Thing that will be the biggest project we have ever done, that I believe will take all of us to the next level in a way that keeps me awake at night.

I wish I could be a little more specific but this is not the time and place – within the next few weeks of 2019 you will understand.  This New Year’s Eve message, on the last day of the old year 2018, is for celebration and thanks.  We are still here, still moving forward, clear in our vision as we enter our seventh year.  We have many things still to do.  I am grateful to all who worked so hard in this year, humbled by your commitment, inspired by your loyalty and trust.  And for those of you who are new to LEO, I wish you welcome to our family. And to all of you, rest assured that I, the Board of LEO and all the executives and staff, we are 100% committed to the success that you are willing to work for.

Yours sincerely,

A personal message from Dan Andersson
